Why Choose Gogebic Community College? Because of the Student Life, of Course.
GCC's Ironwood, MI campus on beautiful Mt. Zion sets the stage for mind clearing and big thinking. Copper Country Center is located in Houghton, MI, and you can enjoy nature and the outdoors while getting an education. For over 80 years, we've been the small campus with a big commitment to your rewarding future. You can choose a vocational education or a transfer program where your credits will get accepted at a university of your choosing where you can earn a bachelor's degree.
The Time is Right for You.
With record enrollments in a number of our programs, we maintain our student-to-faculty ratio of 15:1. New programs, services, and an environment for nature lovers, you will learn from the best faculty members who continue to keep our offerings current for today's workforce. And we're always embracing partnerships and initiating discussions on new program ventures.
With our Campus Suites student housing at capacity, and opportunities to fit all interests, GCC is bustling with activity from early morning until late evening. Students are studying in lounges around campus, working in the computer labs, playing basketball outside and in the Lindquist Center gymnasium, or shooting a round on the disc golf course along Mt. Zion (if they're not skiing or tubing on it in the winter!). Hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, cross country and downhill skiing, and any other out-of-doors activity is available right outside the campus building. The Copper Country Center, in Houghton, MI, has all the same outdoor activities as well.
